Mystery Person Report

Here is another request from the class.  We did this activity this week. We had a great time and they wanted to do the activity again.  I told the class I would add it to the blog so they can do something fun with their family on a boring rainy day this summer!

The activity is called the Mystery Person Report.  You have to choose one character from a familiar book that you have all read. You write as many clues as you want about the character, but don't say who it is!  At the bottom of the paper you write the character's name and cover it up with the smile!  You read your clues to someone else and they have to guess what story character it is.  We all had a great time with this.  Click on the link below to get the paper to print out at home! Have fun!

We just finished reading this book in class.  We loved it!  It was so funny and exciting.  It is the first book in a new series by P.J. McMahon.  The class requested that I post the website that goes with this series.  Check out the website and see if you can find these books at the library this summer!

Butterflies

We have been learning about life cycles in Science class. We have been observing the life cycle of the painted lady butterfly in our very own classroom! We are so excited today because two of our butterflies hatched out of their chrysalis! When the rest of them hatch we will release them into the butterfly garden!
