Recess

When I was 7 I went to recess. My class had to walk because we were on yellow in the cafeteria. Everybody stomped their feet. Then my class paused. We heard a voice saying "My class if you're on green you can go play!" There was a deep dust in the air from all the people running. Caleb met me at the big toy. "How about a game of tag." I said. So we played tag. Caleb was it. Caleb tripped and fell. I said,"Are you OK?" Caleb nodded. He got up and we heard the whistle. We ran to the line. Mrs. Wagner led us to the door. Finally we went in. Everybody took a deep breath and let it out. We each got a drink from the fountain. What happens next.....?

Does anyone have a pindle?

In class, we are currrently reading Frindle by Andrew Clements. In the book, a boy decides to change the name of a pen to "frindle." The name soon catches on and everyone knows what a frindle is. We are LOVING this book! We were all giggling this morning as we read a chapter and then decided to change the name of a pencil to "pindle." The kids are going to try to get all of first grade to use the word pindle! That should be interesting! So.....your child may come home and ask for a pindle to do their homework!

Lazy River

When I got to Schlitterbahn at the lazy river we got in the water and we had to get a plastic boat. "C'mon do we have to stay here?" I said. And I did. So we went in... and a big wave came to us. Swush! Then I felt sick out of my head...Last my mom and dad said "It's time to go!" Then I put my head down...I put a frown on...and I dragged my feet...

Today we went outside to geocache! The class had a great time! They all did such a great job. We can't wait to do it again. If you are not sure what geocaching is....view the video below to find out!

On a hot windy day I went to the beach with my cousins. We were excited. My mom said, "Time to eat." I had a sandwich and it was good and tasty. Then we went home.

My Softball Game

On a warm day in March, it was my ball game. I was jumping up and down. My heart filled with joy. My heart was beating as fast as I could run. When I went to my spot, I was filled with energy. Then a few awesome people went. Then I tried to hit it far. I only hit it to third base. At the end of the game our team lost. A bit of tears dropped. Then I knew we would beat them next time.
