Pumpkin Lab

We had a great time during our pumpkin lab! We made predictions, measured them, counted their lines, and found out if they would sink or float. We even had time to do the "pumpkin wobble" race!

Parent Conferences

Parent conferences will be held Thursday, October 27th and Friday, October 28th. The students will be released at 11:30 on those two days so we can meet. Please click on the link below to view your conference time. Your child's name is listed in the time slot you are scheduled for. You will see on the list that Friday conference times are full. Please be patient if we run a little bit behind! If you cannot attend, please let me know as soon as possible so we can reschedule. Thank you so much for your support!

Writing Workshop

Today during writing workshop, we worked together with our writing partners. The kids had a chance to be the editor for their partner to help them "fix up" their story. Everyone really enjoyed this and did a great job!

Fun With Activexpressions!

We have been using the Activexpressions in our classroom. With the expressions we can vote for the correct answer or text in our short answers. It all shows up on our Promethean Board! Everyone gets to participate and it is so much fun!

Real reading

This week we were working on doing REAL reading, not fake reading. That means we need to think about our reading. To practice that, we used our giant thought bubble to share our thinking. We had so much fun.... And giggled a little every time we saw someone hold up the thought bubble!
